L'école de la Soie au Cambodge.
Centre de formation professionnelle au tissage artisanal de la soie de Banteay Chmar.

Afin de développer la formation professionnelle liée à l'artisanat de la soie, une "Ecole de la Soie" a été construite dans le nord-ouest du Cambodge, à Banteay Chmar (Province de Banteay Meanchey).

Ce projet a été réalisé en partenariat avec l'association "Les Enfants du Mékong" qui en a assuré la direction sur place.

Les 60 élèves tisserandes formées dans cette école ont permis la mise sur pied d'une petite société de droit français : "Les Soieries du Mékong".

The Silk School in Cambodia.
Vocational training center for the craft of silk weaving in Banteay Chhmar.

To develop vocational training related to the craft of silk, a "Silk School" was built in north-western Cambodia, Banteay Chhmar (Banteay Meanchey Province).

This project was conducted in partnership with the association "Les Enfants du Mékong" who provided leadership on site.

The 60 students weavers trained in this school allowed the establishment of a small French company, "The Mekong Silks."
